Efektivitas ekstrak kunyit (Curcuma longa) sebagai bioinsektisida alami untuk menghalau lalat rumah (Musca domestica)

Background: Fly-borne diseases are still a health problem in urban and rural communities, such as related to the gastrointestinal tract, abdominal typhus, cholera, typhoid fever, diarrhoea, dysentery, others. The simplest most common mode of transmission is mechanical. In this method, vector spreads parasite through contact with host without breeding on fly.Objectives: This study aimed determine effectiveness turmeric extract (Curcuma longa) natural bioinsecticide repel house flies (Musca domestica).Method: Quasi-experiment only design control design. samples were 20 houseflies each two treatments one three repetitions. research was conducted at Aceh Polytechnic Laboratory 2022 analyzed by ANOVA test 95% CI.Result: It found that number rejected administration 28, based concentrations 10gram/100ml, 15gram, 100ml (without adding extracts).At concentration - 10gram/100ml (p= 0,005), 15gram/100ml 0,000), 15gram/100ml. There significant difference (p = 0,000).Conclusion: Turmeric extract, for fly repellent, effective 15 grams/100 ml. suggested community can utilize be recommended bio-insecticide repellent household industry process.
